​I bought my dream waterfront property in the fall of 2019, knowing that at some point it would have an extensive renovation to be my forever home!

 

This is my journey through renovations to create an energy efficient home on the banks of the Rideau River in Ottawa, Canada.

 

My goal is to be as close to net zero as I can afford at this point! This first phase of energy retrofits is a starting point, as I plan to renovate the main floor, and add solar panels in a later phase.
