The rest of Week 1 (Feb 8-10) - Bathroom Framing and First Layer of Basement Insulation

It seems every day there are many changes at this point! All of the bathroom walls have been removed, and the flooring pulled up to expose the plumbing below. It's so funny to see the electrical still attached and not yet removed! And also odd to see the assortment of sizes and shapes of beams in the walls and ceiling from the original house.

Walls are getting their first interior layer of insulation - 2" of foam board.

And materials are arriving to prep for next phases - including LVL to be put in place to be able to remove the post closest to the back of the house (not visible in these photos).

The new bathroom is taking shape! Framing is mostly up - it feels bigger than I expected!

Walls have been taped, and the rest of the piano is finally gone!

It's exciting to see the process, and to see how quickly it moves forward :)
